Burglars Strike Newly Opened Copper Shop in Central Kashmir’s Beerwah
Budgam, KNT: Burglars targeted a newly opened copper utensils shop near the Clock Tower in Beerwah during the intervening night, escaping with valuables and causing financial losses to the owner.
The shop, owned by young entrepreneur Nayeem Farooq, had recently been established as a small business venture. According to reports, unknown persons allegedly broke into the premises under the cover of darkness and decamped with valuables. The exact value of the stolen property was not immediately known.
Soon after the incident came to light, a team from Police Station Beerwah reached the spot, inspected the scene and initiated an investigation to identify those involved and ascertain the circumstances surrounding the burglary.
The incident has come as a setback for the young entrepreneur, whose venture had only recently commenced operations.
The burglary has also sparked concern among local traders and residents, who called for increased night patrolling and strengthened security measures in the market area to prevent similar incidents. They expressed hope that the police would identify the culprits at the earliest, recover the stolen property and take appropriate legal action.
