Two Executive Councillors Sworn into 5th LAHDC Kargil Executive Council
Kargil, KNT: Two newly inducted Executive Councillors of the 5th Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, were administered the oath of secrecy during a ceremony held at the Conference Hall of the Council Secretariat in Kargil on Tuesday.
Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kargil, Sheikh Gowher Hussain, administered the oath to Altaf Hussain and Syed Ali, who were inducted into the Executive Council following their appointment through an order issued on July 15 by Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) Dr Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon.
The oath-taking ceremony was organised by the Election Authority, Kargil.
Chairman and CEC Dr Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon was present on the occasion along with Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar.
Directors of various departments, district officers, councillors representing different constituencies and senior government officials also attended the ceremony.
The induction of the two Executive Councillors completes another step in the functioning of the 5th LAHDC Kargil, which is responsible for overseeing developmental planning and governance in the district. [KNT]
