Govt nods creation of posts for Consumer Commissions in J&K

The government has accorded sanctions for the creation of posts for Consumer Commissions in Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports suggest that 15 posts have been created for State Commission, and 50 posts are for District Commission. At the same time, there has been a reduction of 21 posts in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Kashmir.

Referring to the Administrative Council decision, an order has been issued by Zubair Ahmad,
Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the creation of following posts of different categories for State Commission in the pay levels as indicated against each”, reads the order.
The posts include four Junior Stenographers, two Readers, and Senior Assistant and one Registrar, Joint Registrar, Accounts Officer, Private Secretary, Section Officer, and Junior Assistant.
“Creation of following posts of different categories for District Commissions in the pay levels as indicated against each include 10 posts of Registrar, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Assistant, 12 posts of Junior Assistant, two posts of Senior Stenographer and Junior Stenographer, and four posts of Senior Assistant”, reads the order.
The order further reads, “Reduction of following posts in prescribed pay levels in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Kashmir”. It includes 20 posts of Class IV and one post of Gestetner Assistant SLO 15900-50400 01
As per the order issued, The method of recruitment for filling up these posts shall be by the deputation from different departments viz, General Administration Department, Finance Department, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department or any other department as decided by the Government.
“In the event of non-availability of officials from the above Departments, the posts under direct recruitment shall be filled under S.0 192 dated: 17-06-2020. The positions of Drivers, Orderlies, Jamadars/Sweepers shall be outsourced as per actual requirement by the respective Commissions”, it added.
