Sopore boy to represent JK at Nat’l event

Ruhban Abdullah of Sopore will represent Jammu and Kashmir to showcase his model- display Blind Curve Safety Mechanism, model National ATAL Innovation Exhibition in Bangalore.

Ruhban Abdullah resident of Bomai village of Sopore brought the Laurels to his village and school Boys Higher Secondary School of Bomai Sopore where is a student of 12th class.

The model of Ruhban “Blind Curve Safety Mechanism, designed by him by using Arduino and C++ programming in ATL BHSS Bomai, has been selected by ATAL Innovation Mission Niti Ayog Government of India, to represent JK(UT) for display of the project in National ATAL Innovation Exhibition scheduled to be held at Bangaloroo Karnataka on 20th to 23rd September.

Ruhban said, ” I am overwhelmed to see that a model for reducing accidents at blind curves prepared by me has

been selected at national level by ATAL, Innovation Mission Niti Ayog.”
This is not my individual effort, my teachers, mentors played a crucial role to get this project done, he added.
He also said that he had this model in mind long back, “but due to lack of supportive equipment’s I couldn’t develop this, but now with the help of tools available at our school it was possible to develop the model.”

Principal BHSS Bomai, Abdul Ahad, said, “it’s proud moment for entire education department as the students of government schools are proving their mettle in every field now.”

Rubhan is one among of our brilliant students and is very sharp, ” we just felicitated his idea, provide him space and tools to prepare this model,” he said.

The model has been prepared under the guidance of ATL Team includes, Ishfaq Ahmad Mir (ATL Incharge) and Sajad Akbar Rather (Mentor).
