Soldier Dies After Falling From Forward Post Along LoC In Rajouri

Rajouri,  KNT: A 26-year-old Army soldier died in an accident at a forward position along the Line of Control in Rajouri district’s Nowshera sector on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Lance Naik Rituk Choudhary, a resident of Uklada village in Gujarat’s Tapi district.

The incident occurred when Choudhary fell from a forward post onto a downhill ridge, according to officials familiar with the matter.

He was immediately evacuated to the MI Room at Rumlidhara for medical attention. However, he was declared dead on arrival.

The body is expected to be handed over to his legal heirs after completion of the required legal and service formalities. [KNT]
