Police facilitates PCPG meeting in Sopore

As a part of Public outreach programme, Police in Sopore facilitated a PCPG meeting within the jurisdiction of PS Tarzoo. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The meeting was chaired by SDPO Sopore Shri Furqan Qadir-JKPS on the directions of SP Sopore Shri Sudhanshu Verma-IPS, bseides SHO Tarzoo and IC PP Puthkha and other officers were also present. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens including members of Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars, Traders Federation and Fruit Associations of the area.

During the meeting, the participants highlighted various issues pertaining to civil & Police administration.  While addressing the participants, the chairing officer assured them full cooperation in resolving the genuine problems pertaining to Police in shortest possible time while the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned at an earliest. The chairing officer also sought their cooperation in maintaining peace & stability in the area. He also said that police is acting strictly against anti-national and anti-social elements besides, appealed participants to help police in identifying such elements so that strict action under law could be initiated against them.

The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
