SMVDSB initiatives aimed to felicitate hassle-free yatra: Garg
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Anshul Garg on Monday said that all new initiatives taken by the government has been aimed to ensure hassle free pilgrimage experience for the devotees coming for darshans of Mata Vaishno Devi’s natural sanctum at cave shrine in Trikuta Hills.
Speaking exclusively to The News Now, Garg said that recently introduced RFID cards would provide end to end and real time tracking of the pilgrims for their safety. He said existing CCTV network has been strengthened with more control rooms while more disaster teams deployed to tackle any emergent situation.
Garg further informed that a Special Navratri Train was already announced by Railways Ministry and outlets for special Prasad will also be made available at base camp and at Bhawan for devotees.
For the convenience of pilgrims 33 more booking counters have been set up at Jammu Airport, Board’s establishments in Jammu, railway station, helipad in Katra and other prominent locations. He further added that Board also roped in food chains giants including Amul and Verka to provide quality food items at nominal rates.
