Sensex climbs 137 points to trade at 60,703

The Sensex and the NSE Nifty today posted modest gains in the afternoon trade. Index of top 30 companies at Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, was above the 60,700 level.

The Nifty, index of top 50 companies at National Stock Exchange, was above the 18,000 mark. Both indices added amid positive cues from global share markets.

The Sensex climbed 137 points, or 0.23 percent, to trade at 60,703. The Nifty also rose 44 points, or 0.25 percent to trade at 18,059.
