IAF’s IL-76MD Makes World’s Highest-Altitude Landing At Nyoma, Ladakh

The Indian Air Force’s IL-76MD heavy-lift transport aircraft has successfully landed at Nyoma Airfield in Ladakh, at an altitude of 13,629 feet. In a social media post, the Indian Air Force said this was the highest-altitude landing ever achieved by an IL-76MD aircraft anywhere in the world.

It added that the feat showcases the aircraft’s capabilities and the exceptional skill, precision and professionalism of its crew.
