Trade Union Council holds meeting at Srinagar office

The members of Trade Union Council today held an important meeting under the chairmanship of President Abdul Majeed Parray at its Srinagar Office.

Among other members the meeting was also attended by all district, tehsil and block presidents.

During the meeting, members asserted and demanded that as promised by the previous Lieutenant Governor, all employees be brought under the risk allowance factor besides, medical allowance is also provided to all employees including those working tirelessly in Forest and Social Forestry departments.

The meeting called upon the Government to provide two and a half day allowance to employees of Forest and Social Forestry departments and in other departments, as a relief to their tireless work and dedication beyond the working hours.

The Trade Union Council also demanded regularization of all daily wagers and immediate release of their salaries, withheld from many years.

The Council also asserted on the Government to take serious measures for implementation of Minimum Wage Act to benefit these employees as their long pending demand.
