JKPDD employees strike aftermath: Dealing hands in CP&AO/PIO office deputed for timely disbursement of salary

Showing sincerity to the JKPDD employees who called off their strike on assurances , the government issued order for timely disbursement of the salary of the employees and to ensure the uninterrupted flow, the government has directed the Power Development Corporation Limited (PDCL) authorities to depute a special dealing hand in the offices of the CP&AO /PIO .

The timely disbursement of the salary was also included in one of the four demands by the protesting JKPDD employees. The government’s move has, however, kindled a hope for the employees that their rest of the demands would be met .

Official sources said that following the government’s direction the PDCL authorities further issued directions for timely disbursement of the salary of the PDD employees. The order in this connection issued by the KPDCL and is accessed by The Right News read as , “The salary bills of the employees shall be prepared before 24th of every month and is submitted to the office the concerned offices before 25th of every month so that salary and wages of the employees to be credited in time. A special dealing hand may be deputed to the concerned CP&AO/PIO offices who will keep the liaison and ensure that once the credit advice concerned CP&AO/PIO is forwarded to the concerned bank branch, same dealing hand will communicate with his respective office and ensure their bank advice to their bank on the same day to avoid any inordinate delay”.

Pertinently, after staying away from their duties for three days, the protesting employees of the Power Development Department (PDD) on Tuesday called off their strike after a written assurance was given by the administration to put hold the proposed merger of PDD with Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCI).The government agreed to put on hold the merger of the Power Development Department (PDD) with PGCI and set up a committee to take a relook.
