Medical Camp Organized At Tarathpora, Village Kupwara
A Medical camp was organized by Indian Army and Civil Administration in Tarathpora as a unique gesture to alleviate hardships of local populace from remote areas of North Kashmir’s Ramhall and Tarathpora Block of kupwara district. Vilgam Army Camp of Indian Army and Civil administration came together with shared resources to conduct a medical camp for local people.

The camp was organized at Tarathpora Panchayat Ghar wherein 03 Medical Officers and 01 Dental Officer from Army, 01 Gynaecologist, 01 Orthopedic Specialist , 01 Pediatrician and 01 Medical Specialist from Civil Health Department worked tirelessly on 14 Feb 2022 to provide medical support to 362 patients including 103 males, 197 females and 62 children. Besides routine medical checkup, special emphasis was laid on screening people in vulnerable age groups for life style diseases.
Besides medical consultations from the specialist and check-ups, medicines were also provided to the people free of cost. Specialist advise and awareness drive on COVID, AIDS, Family planning, Dental care and immunization was also imparted. Community leaders expressed their satisfaction and happiness over the initiative taken by Indian Army and Civil Administration.
