Thousands of Ambedkari followers arrive at Chaityabhoomi on 67th Mahaparinirvana Day in Mumbai
On the occasion of 67th Mahaparinirvana day, thousands of Ambedkari followers are arriving at Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai from yesterday to greet Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Various facilities are provided by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) for the followers.
Civil services and facilities have been deployed at various places including Chaityabhoomi, Shivaji Park, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s residence Raj Griha etc. including temporary shelters, awnings, V.I.P. Room, control room, ambulance, health care, drinking water system, sanitation, toilets, bathrooms, benches for meeting, mobile phone charging facility with electricity system, Hirakni rooms and well equipped facilities at Shivaji Park as well as chaityabhoomi for women and new born children.
Deputy Commissioner Ramakant Biradar has informed that the program on Chaityabhoomi will be telecast live on the big screen. An equal number of soldiers and police have been deployed for security.
