IMD Forecasts Heavy To Very Heavy Rain In Andhra Pradesh, Odisha Today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the formation of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. It is likely to intensify into a deep depression in the next 24 hours, resulting in heavy to very heavy rainfall over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha today. Heavy rainfall is also likely to prevail over Jharkhand, Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya during the day.

Meanwhile, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Telangana are expected to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds during the next two days.
