Rajouri Adm sets up control room to redress water & power issues

To alleviate the problems on account of water and power supply in Rajouri town, the District Administration has set up a special control room in the office of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal .
Officers deputed in the control room include AEE Jal Shakti, Zulfikar Chowdhury ( 9596956414), AEE Jal Shakti Ghulam Nabi (9419170882), JE Jal Shakti, Abdul Hamid ( 7006555064), JE Jal Shakti, Altaf Hussain ( 9596642642) and AEE JPDCL, Mohd. Jamshad( 9858549000), AEE JPDCL, Sunil Sharma ( 9419132131), JE JPDCL, Mohd. Ishaq( 7006304380) and JE JPDCL, Mohd. Rizwan ( 9906239799).
The officers will remain stationed in the control room and attend the grievances received on phone and in person regarding water and power supply. The officers will attend the control room on rotation to ensure prompt response to public calls.
The general public can contact these officers/ officials to register redress their grievances in a time-bound manner.
Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the power scenario after snowfall and rains.
Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SEE PDD, Ex En PDD Rajouri, Narotam Kumar; Ex En STD Kalakote, Ex En Project Wing JPDCL, Maqbool Hussain and other concerned officers.
While taking strong note of complaints being received from the public regarding delay in restoring the power supply and unscheduled power cuts, the DDC asked the concerned officer from the PDD to look into the matter and make sure that power is supplied to all the households of the district while strictly adhering to the curtailment schedules.
He also asked to restore the power supply disrupted due to snow/rains in all the areas of the district at the earliest and rectify the faults as soon as possible to mitigate the sufferings of the general public.
Moreover, the DDC took a detailed review of the status of the projects being executed by Project Wing JPDCL under various schemes like IPDS, PMDP Urban, DDUGJY and PMDP Rural in the district.
He also asked the concerned officers to expedite the progress on the projects to ensure that these are completed within the set deadlines so that necessary benefits are provided to the general public with the completion of these projects.
