Sensex climbs 721 points; Nifty ends at 18,015

The BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty today posted gains of more than one percent. The index of the top 30 companies, Sensex, ended above the 60,500 level while the Nifty, index of the top 50 companies, finished above the 18,000 mark. Both indices added amid positive cues from global share markets.

The Sensex climbed 721 points, or 1.2 percent, to close at 60,566. The Nifty also rose 208 points, or 1.17 percent to settle at 18,015.
