President Droupadi Murmu accorded grand ceremonial reception on her arrival at Air Force Station, Hakimpet in Telangana

President Droupadi Murmu was accorded a grand ceremonial reception on her arrival at the Air Force Station, Hakimpet in Telangana yesterday. The President is on her winter sojourn to Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollaram on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Mrs. Murmu arrived by a special IAF plane at Shamshabad airport and left immediately for Srisailam along with Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy. She inaugurated PRASAD project at the tourism facilitation centre in the pilgrim town of Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh.

The President returned around 4 PM at the Hakimpet Air Force station where she was received by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, his Cabinet colleagues and a number of Members of Parliament, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders.

Later, Mrs Murmu paid floral tributes at the War Memorial. She also attended a banquet hosted by the Governor in her honour at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad. Ministers, leaders of various political parties, eminent personalities of different walks of society and senior officials attended the event.
