High-Speed Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Rider in South Kashmir’s Kulgam
Kulgam, KNT: A biker was killed in a road accident near the Migrant Colony area of Vessu in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, officials said.
According to reports, the motorcycle was allegedly being driven at a high speed when the rider lost control and rammed into a roadside barricade near the area.
The impact of the collision proved fatal, resulting in the on-spot death of the biker, officials said.
Soon after the incident, local residents and personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police rushed to the area and shifted the body for medico-legal formalities.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately known at the time of filing this report.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident.
The incident once again highlighted concerns over speeding and road safety on busy stretches across south Kashmir. [KNT]
